Yes, blogosphere, that is all in capitals because I am yelling it! My long awaited niece a.k.a. the zygote formerly known as Smee has finally arrived! Boy and I were on the way home from our Tuesday night drawing class when we got the call from my Brother-in-Law on the bus. I ended up squealing so excitedly, I startled the other passengers on the bus. Then when we got to the subway, I couldn’t stop hopping and Boy pretended he didn’t know me. I may have also cried a little bit because I am dorky like that*.
But I don’t care because she’s here!
Abigail Christina Park was born May 18th at 8:49PM, she weighs 8lbs 7oz and last check, she hadn’t been measured. My sister-in-law is a trooper and only pushed for 32 minutes. My brother-in-law cut the cord. I am told she has sandy blonde hair and feet that distinctly belong to Boy’s side of the family.
No pictures yet, but I promise I will post one as soon as I get it. I can’t wait to meet her and to hold her and smell her crazy baby smell and see her sweet adorable baby face. Babies always have the softest skin and the weirdest iridescent eyelids – you ever notice that?
Okay, back from my tangent! She is born! Life is good! Can’t wait to be your Aunt, Abbey*! I already love you muchly!
**POST EDITED: Here is Abbey!**
*I am one of those weird people who cries when she’s happy. It is awful. The first time Boy told me he loved me was very scary for him.
*Yes, I am probably going to call her Abbey (Road) as a nickname. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m big on the nicknames. 🙂
