So my big plan for Valentine’s Day was to try and get tickets for Boy and I to see Flight of the Conchords when they rolled into Toronto. A friend of mine tipped me off to the tickets going on advance sale so that day, I went online to try and arrange tickets.
I spent like half an hour trying to get the website to work right and then when I got tired of that, I spent 20 minutes on hold trying to get a real person to talk to. When I finally got a hold of a real person, she told me that you couldn’t get two seats together which, since it was supposed to be a Valentine’s Day present, completely defeats the purpose.
But the non-advance tickets were supposed to go on sale today so I was excited about that. I talked to my friend Jack and he, along with his fiance Sally, really wanted to go so I asked if he might be able to score the tickets since he is off from work today. That plan seemed okay, but then when he tried, he couldn’t get the website to work either!
Considering how much they jack up the prices on tickets and considering that I have now tried twice unsuccessfully to give them my money, I’m feeling kind of annoyed. If what you do is sell things on the internet, then make your stupid website work!
Personally, I vote that they change their name from Ticketmaster to Ticketcrapster. Boo-urns!
P.S. Many thanks to Jack if he reads this post. I appreciate you trying for me.
P.P.S. I googled the phrase Ticketmaster sucks and a bunch of results came up so I’m happy knowing I’m not alone in my hatred of them.
