I am ridiculously tired right now, but I was tagged by the lovely and talented Sweet T so I’m posting this little meme right now.
Step 1: respond and rework—answer the questions on your own blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.
Step 2: tag other un-tagged people.
Make a list of things you can see without getting up:
My retro lady mug, my bottle of Vitamin Mega C Water, my iPod, My Star Wars Lego figures, my Penguins in Hats poster and a bunch of file folders.
Favorite Etsy Shop:
My favourite is gomegan because she made my wedding necklace.
What are you wearing now?
I’m wearing my big black boots, jeans, my blue Australia shirt and a grey zipup fleece top.
What color are the eyes of the person you love most in the world?
They change colour but they are generally blue.
What’s the last thing you read/are currently reading?
I’ve been reading a lot of fluff lately, but the my favourite last thing was The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman J. Alexie about this boy who grows up on an Indian reserve but is attending a white school to get a better education. It’s technically YA but it was really good and stuck with me after I read it.
What is the last thing you cooked?
My greek pasta thingy.
What is your favorite restaurant of all time?
I don’t think I have one really. Living downtown though, some of my favourites are Shanghai Cowgirl, Sneaky Dees, Queen’s Pasta, and Hernandos.
What’s your current obsession/addiction?
I’d have to say 30 Rock and Scott Pilgrim since the new book came out this week (I still have to pick it up!).
What was the last gift you gave?
I sent a stuffed monkey to my friend Leah’s new baby.
What are you listening to right now?
Sam Roberts’ Love At The End Of The World, specifically Stripmall Religion.
What movie do you know every word to?
Say Anything. I also know a good number of the lines from High Fidelity because I used to recite them with my old coworkers.
If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Teleportation. I could save so much money on gas, metropasses and plane tickets.
What is your most challenging goal right now?
Landing a new gig. The market is so crappy right now.
If you could have a house–totally paid for, fully furnished–anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?
Well there is definitely the temptation to pick somewhere warm like Hawaii, but I think actually, I would pick a house on Ellis Park Road in Toronto. It’s gorgeous there.
Where is your ideal vacation?
I would love to go touring the Mediterranean and doing nothing but seeing cool things and eating.
Name one thing you just can’t resist no matter how bad it is for you.
Deep fried food! I know it’s bad for me but sometimes I love things dipped in batter and oil.
If you could meet anyone famous – dead or alive – who would it be?
I’m not huge into the idea of meeting celebrities and I don’t really have a favourite, but Patton Oswalt, Edgar Wright, Bruce Campbell, Annie Lebowitz or Tina Fey might be okay. They are all enthusiastic people who do different things so it would be neat to talk to them.
If you could have any job in the world , what would it be?
I just love books and it would be so awesome to be able to work on helping develop/edit YA titles. Books were so important to me growing up and I’d really like to be a part of making something that was important to someone else.
You see a cute baby, what is your reaction?
Aw. Cuteness. But not yet, thank you.
Name one poem or song you would like included in your memorial service.
Don’t Be Crushed by Hawksley Workman. It’s one of my favourite songs of all time.
If you could effortlessly learn one skill that you do not currently possess, what would it be?
I would love to be able to cook like a gourmet chef.
Which literary character most resembles yourself?
Maybe Elinor Dashwood. I let logic stop me from trying to do the things I want sometimes.
If you were an animal, you’d be:
An otter, so my only concerns would be playing and swimming and eating all day.
I’m too lazy to tag people, but if you steal it for your site, leave a comment and I’ll check out your answers. 🙂
