I love video games and I love all things vintage, so when I saw these posted online, I knew I had to share them. A group of artists recently decided to reimagine their favourite video game titles as retro hits and designed a bunch of art to go along with them.
Here is just a smattering of what they came up with . . .
Boy and I were talking about video game design the other day (he’s an environmental artist on a yet to be released title) and I think it’s really cool that, as artsy/intricately plotted as modern games are, their general ideas can still be broken down into such bold and striking symbols and that art like this can have a place alongside the elaborate concept stuff. I mean seriously, if these were prints I would be tempted to hang them up in my living room!
